In Ossippee, 35 minutes from North Conway. Right on the frozen
lake, so you hiked out 100 yds onto the lake and had almost
perfect horizons with some foothills and trees to the west.

I didn't calculate my limiting magnitude but I'm sure it was
easily 6+, and the CSC light pollution map categorizes the
area as 3 on the Bortle Scale (at least mag 6.5). Mid 20's
Fahrenheit, slight breeze.

M81 and M82:
Always a favorite pair. This was my best bino view ever of this
pair. The 15x easily showed the diffenent orientaions, with M81
a north-south oval core with a diffuse halo, and M82 a shorter,
east-west spindle.
