Description:
Setting in the West. At 17 degrres above the horizon. Seen as a fuzzy oval.
The core is large and seen as a brighter oval imposed on the spiral disk.
The bar is relatively easy to see with direct vision, but the spiral wrap is
faint and almost lost in the overall halo. This is a very interesting object
requiring very dark skies and better than good seeing. The zodiacial light is
bright enough to be a nusence.
