Description: Just discernable at 45x without filter when already located at
higher power with at 145x, small PN, between very faint and faint, with a
crescent shaped brighter area on the E half; about 28" in diameter (based
on drawing), no central star; both OIII and UHC appears to give only a
slight contrast gain; mag13 star 12" to the WNW; mag14 stars 5"ESE and
12"WNW from the previous mag13 star.
I can provide a scanned drawing of NGC 6852 to anyone who can read the
binhex encoding of Eudora (for Mac); just mail me to try
(yann.pothier@fnac.net), it works quite often with other configurations...
