Description: at 145x, wide and bright PN, oval ring of nebulosity about
1.2'x0.8' in a WSW-ENE axis; its width is estimated on drawing to be about
15" on the small axis and 20" on its larger and fainter E and W sides; a
little longer and larger on the E side than on the opposite one; no star on
the nebula; a mag12 star is 20" from the E border.
I can provide a scanned drawing of M 57 to anyone who can read the binhex
encoding of Eudora (for Mac); just mail me to try (email@example.com),
it works quite often with other configurations...
