Description:
I discovered this faint reflection nebula while looking for Terzan 6. It is a
small faint haze superimposed over a 13.5 magnitude star. The star is slightly
offset to the southwest. A 15.5 magnitude star is positioned in the middle of
the nebula No other structure is visible, though the nebula does appear to be
fan shaped. The nebula is visible in a 14" scope with direct vision and was
glimpsed with a 12". The nebula is positioned only 5 arc minutes northwest of
Terzan 6. A photo of the area taken from the ESO schmidt plate helped in
identifing the nebula. The designation was found in the Atlas of galatic nebula
vol 3 page 169.
