Weather: Mostly Clear
Instrument: 18" Stabilite Newt f/4.2 1925mm fl
Magnifications: Various ranging 82-434x
Filters used: UHC on and off
Object: NGC6543 Cats Eye Nebula.. Planetary

Size(s): 5.8' (observable central disk must be smaller)
Position: RA: 17:59 DEC:+66:38 
Magnitude: 9
Personal 'Rating' (at this aperture and sky condition): C+
The "Cat's Eye Nebula" sure looks complex in CCD photos, 
but all I could make out was a pretty blue oval at all
magnifications. I couldn't even make out the central star
embedded in the thick nebulosity. Distinct blue color especially
noticeable at low-mid magnifications.
