Great set of observations, Michael! That sharp edge you saw has been noted by a 
few other observers on the list as well, in particular Todd Gross in his 16" 
scope:

Keep these careful and well-logged observations coming, please! (Also, please 
use the form "M13 (NGC 6205)" for your object IDs: believe it or not, the "=" 
equals sign is actually used in some catalog IDs! :>)
